I am writing this for my beloved plant. Here meet my bravest plant called "Gulhar" or “Hibiscus”. I know it seems odd to say such a word for a plant but it deserves to be called brave. Let me take you three years back from now, when all my plants experienced pest attack for the first time, mainly mealybugs attack causing leaf yellowing and ultimately plants were dying. Further, a wind storm proved as a tip of an iceberg, brutally damaging the plant leaves. Hardly a few plants survived but not for so long. This Gulhar plant went through severe mealybugs attack, covering its each and every twig. Still it had leaves, even it proceeded towards its next flower budding stage. But at the same time, it was wilting. Nothing was working neither the hoeing nor the pest control fertilizer. One day, I gave water shower to the plant with a very high-pressure targeting mealybugs. Unfortunately, it was hitting flower buds as well which were going to bloom soon. The next day, I again gave shower to it to get rid of the new baby pests. The process was repeated for consecutive one week. And the result was that there were no pests anymore. A very blissful moment it was, when it was all green, clean-beautiful, sparkling its green beauty, ready to live a new beautiful life. Indeed, it was a reborn after days of struggles and scratches. The twigs were waving and flickering like celebrating their survival.
Gloomy it was that it had lost all its flower buds. And no new buds appeared. The next year, spring visited in all its splendor, other plants' flowers bloomed with all their enchantment but Gulhar was all alone with no flower. Two more years passed, ever year in Autumn, during pest attack season, where other plants used to struggle to survive, it still continued to grow beautifully, it grew with all its might. But in spring, where flowers were blossoming in other plants spreading their fragrance, embroidering environment artistry, there it was just green with no flowers. The year it became resistant to pest attack, it had to sacrifice its flowers blooming ability in order to survive. Yes! The most admirable part of it got lost during this survival. Though it lost its captivating beauty but it did not forget to grow, it did not forget to express its grace in another way, it did not forget to live, it did not forget to give alluring look, it did not forget to gift a calm sensation to its viewers, it did not forget to remain part of nature. And most of all, it did not forget to give me a lesson, a reason to write this:
“It is ok to lose a captivating part of you,
All that matters is your survival after self-battle.”
The survival of Gulhar taught me so many lessons. Nature is not a mere thing, it is a whole universe, always ready to teach you about life, happiness, pacifism and continuity. It does not force you to engross in it, but it demands you to have a look, rest will be done by its mesmerizing powers. But always look with belief in its hidden powers. Every stage of endurance was a lesson, our life is the same, our hearts are attacked by folks not meant for us. First make us believe them, to give place in our hearts and then start to eat our own desires just like mealybugs. Ultimately, weakening our heart and bruising our soul. A soul that was once happy, enthusiastic and cheerful becomes empty, longing for nothing and living for nothing.
Ahh! A sweet soul lost its sweetness, lost its fascination. When such a dull and empty soul encounters this fast-moving energetic world, it hurts more, feels like you don’t belong to this world, what’s the use of residing at such a place where everyone seems to be the light and you are the only darkness! Being stuck at such a point, remind your soul that for the light to enter your soul, first it has to be broken. Be steady and durable like Gulhar, the desperateness and misery that people brought in your life made you lose your charms, but stand for your own sake. It does not matter, either you cope the worse situations by falling, crawling or walking, only your attempts to keep moving ahead must be the treasure of this journey. For the folks who are close to a such disturbed, ordeal soul, I must say don’t play role of wind storm that made the situation even worse. But be shower of hope, belief and confidence. Share your emanation with the soul which just needs a spark to be enlightened again. Be brave like Gulhar, brave enough to rise again with all but different enchantments. Always remember my brave soul, while fighting, don’t save your beauty, save your character. While tackling, don’t save your ego, save your self-respect. While attempting, don’t save your luck, save your spirit for endeavoring. While seeking, don’t save your darkness, save your inner light.
In
the last, the most beautiful lesson Gulhar taught me that a time comes when you
regain all your lost talents. Once your soul is revived, you stand in position
to live again, like all other do. Even though you are empty, shattered,
crumbled, always believe in yourself throughout this journey. It is ok if you
have to take some cruel decisions at such difficult times, later that same
decision will lead you to a beautiful spot. Wait for the time, when your
patience will bear fruit, when your prayers will be replied, when your tears
will be answered, when your silence will get paid, when your lost ways will be
cleared, ultimately heading you towards the right direction.
A right thing will come to you
At the right place and at the right time.
Gulhar has now become a strong, tall plant, it has won back its
blossoming ability after three years of long wait, it would be a day of
celebration when flowers will bloom. Wait for your celebration day as well dear
brave soul.
Gulhar
is a tiny piece of nature, there are so many others like this, pick up
positivity and meaningful life teachings from the Pieces of Nature,
you encounter on daily basis. Indeed, a very fine polished form of you will
emerge.
